At the 2007 UN Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, Mexico proposed the creation of a new Multilateral Fund for Climate Change. The proposal, which has since been fleshed out, is considered a politically feasible model for mobilizing and administering large-scale climate change action funding – including funding commitments described in the Copenhagen Accord. This brief outlines the key components of the proposal.
