T-AGG Report Outlines

T-AGG began work in November 2009 to assemble the analytical foundation necessary for implementing high-quality agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation activities. This effort will help fill in gaps by focusing on management activities that are not yet in widespread protocol development. We are in the process of writing three assessment reports. Draft outlines of these reports are linked below (these outlines continue to be updated, so check back for most recent versions):

  1. a survey and prioritization of agricultural mitigation opportunities in the U.S.,
  2. an assessment of the viability of various approaches for measurement and accounting of GHG mitigation through soil carbon management for major U.S. cropping systems, and
  3. an assessment of the viability of various approaches for measurement and accounting of GHG mitigation through N2O emission reductions for major U.S. cropping systems

We are very interested in finding ways to collaborate or cooperate as we hope our final products will be inclusive syntheses that can provide vital information to private and public entities who want to develop agricultural protocols. Please let us know if you have related work under way or comments on the included draft outlines by e-mailing T-AGGteam@duke.edu.
