Alan will discuss how the conversation regarding carbon market design and oversight has changed since he began his fellowship with the Nicholas Institute on June 22, 2009. From the Waxman-Markey bill being passed on June 26th, to the ongoing discussions by Sens. Kerry, Graham, and Lieberman, Alan will try to demonstrate how the focus of the discussion has shifted along with the politics.
Alan graduated from the Duke Environmental Leadership program in May 2009, and before that he spent more than 25 years in the financial industry as a bond trader, most recently as Managing Director at RBS Greenwich Capital.
