It's a signal of how fast India's climate conversation is moving that this seminar title has become less valid. As the Singh government has shaken up its climate cabinet the true story of India emerges, one of rich heterogeneity, vast political structures, world-leading science and technological research, and a quarter of the world's poor. The Obama administration believes that it will make more progress in its bilateral relationship with India than with any other country. What this means for policy, business, science -- and for Duke -- will occupy our time this hour.
