Join individuals and experts from academia, industry, NGOs, government and foundations to deal with critical concerns relevant to both the developing and developed worlds.
The 2011 Water and Health Conference: Where Science Meets Policy, jointly organized by the Institute for the Environment and the Water Institute at UNC, will consider drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and water resources in both the developing and developed worlds with a strong public health emphasis.
At the event, the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions will present a workshop titled, " North Carolina: Turning Science into Policy." The workshop will focus on research underway involving area water supplies, such as Falls and Jordan lakes which supply much of the drinking water for the 1.5 million people living and working in the Research Triangle region.
