DURHAM N.C. — Bill Holman, director of state policy for Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, will be among the panelists featured on the radio show Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins Tuesday (Aug. 9).
The program, which airs 9-10 a.m., will look at water resources in the State of North Carolina. Specifically, it will explore water infrastructure, allocation and conservation policies as well as how the water market works.
Holman will be joined by Michael Sanera, director of research and local government studies at the John Locke Foundation and Maeneen Kline, director of Liquid Assets Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities.
For the last 30 years, Holman has handled water policy in North Carolina. Since 2007, he has co-led the UNC-Duke Water Allocation Study Team. Last year, he was reappointed by N.C. Sen. Marc Basnight to advise the state on water issues through the State Water Infrastructure Commission (SWIC).
