Holman Elected SWIC Chairman

DURHAM, N.C. – Bill Holman, director of state policy at Duke’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, was re-elected chairman of the State Water Infrastructure Commission (SWIC) today. The term runs one year.

Holman has served as a member of SWIC since it was established by the N.C. General Assembly in 2005 to the state identify and prioritize water infrastructure needs. This will be his sixth term as chairman.

Prior to joining the Nicholas Institute in 2007, Holman served for six years as executive direct of the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund. Previously, he served as secretary and assistant secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
