Cheryl Choge

Water Policy Associate

Cheryl Choge joined the Nicholas Institute's Washington D.C. office in April 2010.  She monitors the water policy environment in Washington D.C. and works on initiatives related to improving access to water supply and sanitation in the developing world.

Prior to joining the Institute, Cheryl consulted on water, sanitation and hygiene programs in Sub-Saharan Africa for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Water Challenge and Millennium Water Alliance.  Her experience ranges from researching Integrated Water Resources Management to building a rainwater harvesting system for a primary school in Ghana.  Cheryl is also interested in alternative financing mechanisms, particularly microfinance.  While in Tanzania, she established a microcredit program serving women with HIV/AIDS.
