Holman is currently working with the North Carolina General Assembly to develop a science-based state water allocation policy. Other projects include work with southeastern states to increase collaboration in managing shared surface and ground water resources, work with the N.C. Division of Water Quality and local governments in the Upper Neuse River Basin and Falls Lake watershed to develop effective state and local policies to reduce pollution in Falls Lake and other drinking water supplies. In addition he is working with North Carolina's Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program on a Climate Ready Estuaries project.
