Brooks Rainey Pearson
Brooks joined the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions in September 2010 as Policy Counsel for climate and energy issues. Brooks' work focuses on state and federal energy policy, the regulation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydraulic fracturing, and regulatory options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. She earned her JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a MA in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010.
