Darmawan Prasodjo
Using his background in computing consulting and GIS development, Darmawan Prasodjo is developing economic modeling systems that incorporate spatial engineering. His current research has led to the development of OptimaCCS, an analysis platform that uses spatial optimization and mathematical modeling to determine the most cost-effective carbon capture and storage (CCS) system.
Prasodjo received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. His dissertation focused on the economic analysis of CCS design and policy. He also holds a master's and bachelor's degree in computer science from Texas A&M.
He joined the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions in 2009, after a computer consulting career spanning more than six years.
