The NC Environmental Management Commission (EMC) is considering a nutrient management strategy and rules to substantially reduce nitrogen and phosphorus loading into Falls Lake. The two-staged approach requires reductions from all sources over the next 25 years. It also enables these sources to offset and trade nutrients.
