The Southeastern United States is faced with several energy transitions in the coming years.
Duke University's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions is hosting a symposium November 16 to address both the current and future energy challenges faced by this region.
Recognized thought leaders from NGOs, state energy offices, federal agencies, universities and utilities will discuss how to best tackle issues related to population growth, aging infrastructure, and renewable energy imperatives in the region in a climate of political, environmental and financial uncertainty.
Throughout the day-long event, panel members will share examples of how they have overcome these challenges in their own states and help plot directions for future research and outreach.
Follow the event conversation on the Nicholas Institute's Twitter page using the hashtag #seenergy.
