Water: Is the Bill Coming Due?

When Apr 14, 2011
from 07:00 pm to 08:45 pm
Where J.C. Raulston Arboretum, 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh

Bill Holman, director of state policy at Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, will speak at the WakeUp Wake County Community Forum April 14. The forum “Water: Is the Bill Coming Due?” focuses on Wake County’s growth and the real costs of providing water to residents.

With new growth comes increasing demand for water. Local reservoirs, including Falls Lake, have nearly dried up in past years under drought conditions. Learn what’s being done to improve water supply in the future and who will pay for new water infrastructure as Wake County continues to expand.

Holman and five others will present on this topic starting at 7 p.m. in North Carolina State University’s J. C. Raulston Arboretum. For more information, visit the event site.
