Duke Student Clubs: Request Fall 2023 Funding by September 18
Each semester, the Nicholas Institute offers a limited amount of funding to help energy-and sustainability-focused clubs and other student organizations develop events and projects that benefit the larger community of energy and sustainability students at Duke. Requests for proposals are issued at the start of the fall and spring semesters.
The deadline to apply for Fall 2023 funding is Monday, September 18, 2023.
In 2023-2024, projects may be eligible for up to $1,000 in funding. We seek to encourage interaction and collaboration among Duke's energy and sustainability clubs and students, so make sure that your proposal includes opportunities for students outside your organization. Other criteria:
- The activity must be student-led and related to energy and sustainability.
- The activity must include an educational component.
- The activity must be conducted in accordance with all relevant Duke University guidelines, including but not limited to COVID-19 precautions.
Examples of past funded activities include:
- Research projects
- Speaker events
- Mentoring events
- Tours/trips
- Film screening
***NOTE: Funding is intended for new activities only. Requests for ongoing, annual support should be discussed with Bryan Koen.
