Gov. Roy Cooper Touts Offshore Wind Development at Duke Symposium

The need for reliable clean energy that offshore wind can produce has never been greater, and North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said Friday the state has all the necessary tools to be a leader in the offshore wind economy.

Cooper delivered his message to open Winds of Change, a symposium on the development of offshore wind energy presented by the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability; Nicholas School of the Environment; and the Center for Energy, Development and the Global Environment (EDGE) at the Fuqua School of Business.
