Most people know that plastics contribute to litter, but did you know that they also add to climate change?
Zoie Diana, a Ph.D. candidate in marine science and conservation at Duke University, spoke about her research into the harmful effects of plastics and the connections to public policy on the Policy 360 podcast, produced by Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy. Diana is part of a team of Duke researchers and students that developed and maintains the Plastics Policy Inventory, a searchable database on the Nicholas Institute website that contains hundreds of public policies from around the world to reduce plastic pollution.
