The Duke Center on Risk, based at the Duke University Initiative for Science & Society, invites you to take part in the fifth in a series of conversations on risk as part of its ongoing efforts to engage scholars across Duke who are thinking about risk in any aspect of their teaching or research.

At an informal get-together over drinks and snacks, Duke researchers from diverse disciplines will give short 'lightning talks' about challenging issues of climate risk in their fields. Join the discussion about how these issues are being addressed and the kind of collaborations that could be created.

Moderators are Jonathan Wiener of Duke Law and Mark Borsuk of the Pratt School of Engineering. Speakers include Jerome P. Lynch (Vinik Dean of Engineering) and Tyler Felgenhauer of the Pratt School of Engineering, Rick Larrick of the Fuqua School of Business; Erika Weinthal, Lincoln Pratson, and Brian Silliman of the Nicholas School of the Environment; and Jennifer Lawson of the School of Medicine.

This conversation is aligned with the Duke Climate Commitment launched in September.
