Climate Summit of the Americas

Brian Murray, director of the Environmental Economics Program at the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, will speak from 11 a.m. to noon at the Climate Summit of the Americas on July 9. He joins other panelists to discuss "Critical Measures of Success in a Carbon-Priced Economy."

The invitation-only event will bring together Pan-American jurisdictions, as well as Indigenous leaders, environmental groups and industry, to work toward commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and highlight opportunities for investment in a global low carbon economy.

Taking Action: Achieving Ontario and Canadian Climate Change Goals

Brian Murray, director of the Environmental Economics Program at Duke University's Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, will speak at the 2015 Beatrice and Arthur Minden Symposium on the Environment "Taking Action: Achieving Ontario and Canadia Climate Change Goals." The two day event will focus on the distributive implications of design of the new Ontario cap-and-trade program.
