About

Join us for Oceans Week at Duke, a university‑wide celebration advancing ocean conservation, climate action, and sustainable blue economies. Hosted by Oceans@Duke, Oceans Week connects research, policy, business, innovation, and community to address the ocean’s most urgent challenges—from plastic pollution and overexploitation to climate‑driven change—while spotlighting regenerative solutions that can restore ecosystems and support human prosperity.

Throughout the week, a variety of events will connect the Duke community across disciplines and engage students with alumni, employers, and partners shaping a regenerative blue economy. Programming will include panels, networking, and special events—highlighted by the Blue Economy Summit on March 25, the cornerstone convening of the week. Save the dates, March 23–27, 2026, and join the Oceans@Duke mailing list to receive program updates and registration details as they become available.
