DGHI Climate Change and Global Health Initiative Launch Event External link

The Duke Global Health Institute’s (DGHI) new Climate Change and Global Health Initiative will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary and global collaborative partnerships that connects health, life, social, physical, and human scholars. This launch event aims to generate momentum around the new initiative, and to consider how to best support the research goals of the Climate and Health Observatories – in the Southeast US, Amazon Region, Eastern and Southern Africa, and Southeast Asia – that are at the core of the initiative’s vision for impact. Marc Jeuland, faculty director of the James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke, will be presenting. Registration is strongly encouraged.

Accelerating Global Energy Access

Please join the launch of the Energy Access Project Friday, February 23, 2018, in Washington, D.C. This event will begin with a keynote address by Jim Rogers former CEO and chairman of the board for electric utility Duke Energy and an advocate for universal electricity access. He will join other speakers and guests who are leaders in business, government, civil society and academia to explore the most pressing challenges around global energy access and to shape the agenda for this new research program at Duke University.
