About
New for the 2019–20 academic year, the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions is offering Policy Boot Camps to share our team's experience directly engaging with decision makers. Duke University students will have the opportunity to learn more about environmental policy making institutions—what they are, how they work, and how to engage them—through informal discussions with Nicholas Institute professionals.
In this session, Jen Weiss, senior policy associate at the Nicholas Institute's Climate and Energy Program, will discuss how green banks are helping to increase investment in clean energy and energy efficiency at the local, state, and national levels. Topics will include:
- Green Banks 101 (what they are and what they aren't)
- Existing green banks and clean energy funds
- National Climate Bank Act (Senate Bill 2057)
A reception with free pizza and drinks will immediately follow the session. Questions can be submitted before or during the discussion by emailing nicholasinstitute@duke.edu.
