About

The Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and the Duke University Energy Initiative offer Policy Perspectives (formerly known as Policy Boot Camps) to share our team's experience directly engaging with decision makers. These informal discussions with our professionals give Duke students an opportunity to learn more about environmental and energy policy-making institutions—what they are, how they work, and how to engage them.

In this session, Jonathan Phillips, director of the James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke, will share insights on how climate change is impacting investment in energy systems in low- and middle-income countries and what it means for economic development. Participants will explore how climate finance is being mobilized to support climate mitigation and adaptation goals, get to know key institutional actors, and learn about ramifications for policy.

All current Duke students are invited to attend. Seating is limited, so please register only if you are committed to attending.

Boxed meals will be available for participants after the event.
