Elizabeth Berg is a research associate with the Heat Policy Innovation Hub. Before coming to the Nicholas Institute, she worked with NOAA as a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow. Her previous research has focused on measuring and mapping urban heat islands and improving forecasts of extreme heat, particularly in urban settings. Berg received her Ph.D. and M.S. in environment and resources from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her B.S. in atmospheric science and literature from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
