Accepting Abstracts for Southeast Transportation Electrification Posters Through February 27

The organizers of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI) April 2025 Meeting at Duke University (April 3, 2025) invite university students, researchers, and energy professionals to submit abstracts for a poster session. Abstracts (less than 300 words) should describe the proposed poster's relevance to transportation electrification and one or more lesson learned that would be informative to a regional audience.

Poster content could include, but is not limited to, information about research projects, implementation projects, or case studies covering topics such as:

  • Electric vehicle (EV) sales/market data analysis
  • EV charging infrastructure
  • EV consumer education
  • EV workforce development
  • EV manufacturing and supply chain
  • EV first responder initiatives and battery safety
  • EVs and the power grid
  • EV transit (school buses, public transportation, micromobility)
  • EV policy analysis

The geographical focus is on the Southeast (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia), but research & initiatives from beyond the southeastern US are welcome, if takeaways or findings are relevant to the region.

We encourage authors to submit abstracts that contain recent research or new ideas. Recent research previously shared in other disciplinary forums are welcome. The symposium will not have formal proceedings, and submission to the symposium is not intended to prevent any material from being submitted later to a journal or another conference.

Submissions will be evaluated with the following criteria:  1) innovation and potential for impact of research/project, and 2) compelling communication of the core ideas.

SETRI is a collaborative multi-sector network that informs and connects on transportation electrification in the Southeast. The Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability at Duke University and the Georgia Tech Strategic Energy Institute facilitate SETRI in collaboration with additional partner organizations.
