DURHAM, N.C. -- Bill Holman, director of State Policy at Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, has been re-elected chairman of the State Water Infrastructure Commission (SWIC).

The one-year term is Holman’s fifth since the Commission was established. In this role, Holman will continue work to help identify and prioritize water infrastructure needs and develop a plan to meet those needs. So far, members have been influential in assisting the state in improving water efficiency by establishing guidelines for such measures as leakage detection and water audits.

The SWIC was created by the N.C. General Assembly in 2005. Since its inception, Holman has served as one of its 13 members.
