Linwood Pendleton, senior scholar at the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, will speak at the international conference on the linkages between “Ecosystems, Economy and Society,” May 29.

The conference focuses on how large-scale restoration can stimulate sustainable development. It will provide a platform for scientists, practitioners, NGOs, business leaders and policymakers from both the south and the north to discuss case studies, best practices and share better insights on the potential of large-scale ecosystem restoration for the improvement of people’s livelihoods, jobs creation and socio-economic development, together with the recovery of ecosystems functionalities, continuity and biodiversity.
