All Duke students are invited to attend an information session about a unique Duke practicum course that examines the negotiation of international climate change agreements under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Fall 2024 practicum offers students the opportunity to attend the negotiations; this year, the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) will take place in Azerbaijan.

Duke students from all fields, departments, and programs (including undergraduate, masters, professional, and doctoral degree programs) are encouraged to apply to take part in the practicum; the only prerequisite is a passion for climate change policy.

Interested students should sign up for the practicum email list for updates, including a link to a Zoom info session on June 20 at 10-11 a.m. ET. Applications will be released on the call and posted on the website afterward. The application deadline is June 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
