New for the 2019–20 academic year, the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions is offering Policy Boot Camps to share our team's experience directly engaging with decision makers. Duke University students will have the opportunity to learn more about environmental policy making institutions—what they are, how they work, and how to engage them—through informal discussions with Nicholas Institute professionals.
In this session, Jennie Chen, senior counsel for federal energy policy at the Nicholas Institute, will discuss her experience working at organizations that shape energy policy, what they do, and how they work. Institutions covered will include:
- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
- Regional Transmission Organizations
- Environmental advocacy organizations
- The International Energy Agency
