***This tour is for current Duke students only.***

It hasn't been a particularly frigid winter so far... except for a few memorable days at the end of December. So how do Duke buildings stay warm during cold snaps like that? Find out on this Power Trip, when Facilities Management operations engineer Chris Silcott will lead a tour of the West Campus Steam Plant.

This tour of the campus steam plant and substation will take place on Friday, Jan. 27, from 1:30-3 p.m. Registration is required. The tour is limited to the first 20 people who sign up; additional names will be put on a waiting list.

Please note that you must wear closed-toe shoes for this tour.

This event is aligned with the Duke Climate Commitment, which unites the university’s education, research, operations and public service missions to address the climate crisis. The commitment builds on Duke’s longstanding leadership in climate, energy and sustainability to educate and deploy a generation of climate- and sustainability-fluent innovators and create just, equitable solutions for all.
