About
The Southeast Energy Insecurity Stakeholder Initiative is a project of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University, Appalachian Voices, and the North Carolina Justice Center. The purpose of the Initiative is to facilitate a broad, collaborative discussion among stakeholders to explore the opportunities for reducing energy insecurity in the Southeast.
Over the last few months, stakeholders have begun to identify areas of interest where subject matter expertise would be useful to ongoing working group discussions. One of these areas was the different types of utilities that exist in the Southeast and their respective business models, including how utilities operate, how they are regulated, and what is possible with respect to reducing energy burdens and improving energy security. This subject matter expert webinar is designed to help participants gain a better understanding of this topic.
