Lilli Watson is a policy associate at the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, working with the Water Policy Program and the Heat Policy Innovation Hub. At Duke, Watson collaborates with decision- and policymakers to assess and develop guidelines for public agencies. She coleads the Internet of Water Technology Adoption Program (TAP), helping public agencies implement data modernization for better water management. With extensive experience in science communications, she specializes in conveying complex issues to diverse audiences. Prior to Duke, Watson planned and coordinated green infrastructure projects for the City of New York and instructed US Green Building Council–certified courses on topics ranging from biophilic design to coastal resilience. She holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Environmental Systems from Pratt Institute.
