The U.S. Grid May Have Over 100 GW of Load to Spare

New research by Nicholas Institute and Nicholas School researchers suggests that the existing U.S. power system already has substantial additional capacity to support increased demand—especially of data centers. The country could unlock more than 100 GW of new load by adopting flexibility solutions without major capacity expansion, according to the research and reported by Latitude Media.
