This webinar will cover efforts to improve the understanding of blue carbon resources through inventorying and mapping. Panelists from the US Climate Alliance, the World Resources Institute, and Duke University will discuss their efforts to include blue carbon as part of greenhouse gas inventories and resource maps. WRI has produced a GHG guide that includes coastal wetlands. The Duke team is working to map and quantify coastal protection and blue carbon provided by coastal habitats. Partner states are just beginning to build these new datasets into their coastal policy and planning.
