All are welcome to attend a talk and Q&A session by Martha Frysztacki, a. PhD candidate in energy informatics at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany: “Investigating site-dependent effects in optimal capacity investment decisions: Impacts of spatial resolution when modelling highly renewable electricity systems under weather and climate uncertainty.”

This talk is part of Climate+, a full-time, ten-week summer research experience in which Duke undergraduate and masters students apply new data-driven approaches to climate challenges and learn from experts on data science, climate, environment, and energy. Climate+, a new vertical within Duke’s Data+ program, is organized by the Rhodes Information Initiative at Duke in partnership with the recently merged Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and Duke University Energy Initiative.

The in-person talk will not be livestreamed or recorded.
