About

Announced in fall 2023, the National Climate Resilience Framework focuses on community-driven resilience and adaptation solutions implemented through local experts and cross-sector partnerships.

During this webinar, find out about promising practices and lessons learned from two relevant national programs:

  • The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Climate Adaptation Fund has a national portfolio of adaptation projects spanning diverse ecosystem types, climate change challenges, and place-based solutions designed and implemented by hundreds of partnerships between county, city, state, and federal agencies; tribes; nonprofits; community-based organizations; and local experts.
  • The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Smart Communities Initiative is a national effort designed to increase the capacity of communities across the country to proactively address climate-related impacts, with a central commitment to prioritizing the needs of communities that are on the front lines of the climate crisis.

Hosted by the Nicholas Institute, Climate Adaptation Fund, and Climate Resilience Fund as part of the National Climate Resilience Framework: Ideas to Action webinar series presented by the Resilience Roadmap project.
