About

This event celebrated the launch of Energy Pathways USA, a new initiative hosted by Duke University that convenes partners across multiple industries to accelerate progress toward net-zero carbon emissions. Energy Pathways USA aims to develop and share research and insights on actionable policies, pathways, and investments needed to promote the energy transition. The event began with a panel conversation about the new decarbonization landscape and key implementation issues for the Inflation Reduction Act. Brian Murray, interim director of Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability, moderated the discussion with thought leaders from Energy Pathways USA’s company partners. A networking reception followed the panel.

Panelists were:

  • Roger Martella, Chief Sustainability Officer, GE
  • Alison Taylor, Chief Sustainability Officer, ADM
  • Krista Johnson, Head of US Government Relations, Shell

Energy Pathways USA is convened by the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability at Duke University as an autonomous regional initiative of the global Energy Transitions Commission.
