About
Join local and state leaders for a roundtable discussion on vehicle electrification in the rural southeast. The rapid growth in electric vehicles (EVs) today is part of a fundamental shift in transportation. All Americans and communities can benefit from the lower operating costs and increased economic development opportunities. Implementing charging infrastructure will also require a large-scale on-the-ground effort, which will create high-quality jobs for rural communities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
The latest and largest in the rural roundtable series, this event will bring together new stakeholders and participants from previous transportation electrification roundtables to share information, develop policy plans, and form partnerships that traverse state lines.
Nicholas Institute expert Trey Gowdy will speak at the event on the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI) and Southeast EV workforce development.
