The next Sustainable Infrastructure: Putting Principle into Practice webinar, on June 9, focuses on Strategic Planning and Sustainable Infrastructure Development, the first Good Practice Principle from UNEP’s newly released International Good Practice Principles for Sustainable Infrastructure.

The session provides an introduction to strategic planning (Principle #1), followed by a technical presentation on strategic environmental assessments (SEA). The remainder of the session includes presentations of two case studies given by practitioners engaged in strategic planning for infrastructure at the national and sector (hydropower) levels. Case presentations include interactive activities that will allow exchange between case study presenters and participants regarding sustainability challenges and lessons learned from the cases.

Subsequent webinars in the series, held on the second Wednesday of every month, focus on each of the remaining 10 Good Practice Principles.
