Sustainable Infrastructure: Putting Principle into Practice was a monthly interactive webinar series for the sustainable infrastructure community that took place between May 2021 and May 2022. This series was a pilot to the ISLe Initiative. Recordings of all sessions can be found below.
Each session was designed as a way for researchers, policy makers, and practitioners to:
- Exchange state-of-the-art knowledge on how to plan and build sustainable infrastructure;
- Participate in an interactive forum to learn from other practitioners as they present case studies, including best practices and pitfalls; and
- Connect with a community of individuals and organizations engaged in the sustainable infrastructure sphere.
Technical and case study presentations from each session focused on one of ten principles from UNEP’s International Good Practice Principles for Sustainable Infrastructure. Each presentation and discussion was interdisciplinary and cross-cutting. Experts and practitioner participants from all geographies and professions (engineering firms, government agencies, financial institutions, civil society organizations, academia) joined in to learn with us and share knowledge and experiences.
