To date, Bandalong Litter Traps have collected 349 cubic yards of floating litter with 148.7 inches of rainfall, prevented 3,011 tons of trash from entering Anacostia River and on average, removed 501,758 pounds of trash per month in DC. At least 99% of floating litter is removed from the canal system in Waycross, Georgia. A total amount of 6,021 pounds of trash was collected in DC (Bandalong Litter Traps, n.d.).
