Navarre Beach Park Coastal Access & Dune Restoration

State/Territory:

This project improved public access to the beaches and water of the Santa Rosa Sound in Florida. This included the addition of two new boardwalks and a kayak/boat launch to improve recreational opportunities and connect the community and visitors with the sound. This project also restored degraded dunes at the park. 1 acre of dune habitat was degraded, and this project restored the dunes to their natural state via plantings of native vegetation to stabilize sand and prevent erosion. The total authorized budget for this project was $579,584.39.
