Electricity generation, distribution and storage, multiple modes of transportation, agriculture, residential and commercial heating and cooling, and a raft of industrial processes all require significant decarbonization efforts. Energy Pathways USA explores the changes required across these and other sectors, integrating input from practitioners and experts to shape analyses and propose pragmatic solutions to guide future decisions and strategies.

By taking part in Energy Pathways USA, your company can glean immediate value from cross-sectoral dialogue and academic research about trends, lessons learned, challenges, and potential solutions for making systemic changes. You will be able to identify novel opportunities for partnerships and alignments within and across sectors, help accelerate substantial advancements toward a net-zero economy, and bolster your organization’s reputation as an industry leader.

A Model for Translating Your Expertise into Solutions

Energy Pathways USA utilizes a collaborative research and engagement model that is based on three steps:

Diagnostics

Share your challenges. Learn from others. Members will explore current forecasts, trends, and analyses on decarbonization policy, technology, and economics through structured dialogues with content experts and with each other. These dialogues will identify critical challenges to accelerating the pace of decarbonization and achieving equitable net-zero outcomes, and seed Energy Pathways USA research focus areas.

Engagement

Develop solutions. Energy Pathways USA project leaders will facilitate data-rich discussions that present analyses on the focus areas developed during the diagnostic phase. This enables real-time information sharing among members on policy and technology initiatives, trends, and likely outcomes, and further clarifies recommendations and strategies for influencing policy.

Mobilization

Convert insights to action. Energy Pathways USA leaders will work with members to gain traction for project findings with federal and state decision makers and private actors through publishing reports and policy briefs, and holding convenings and briefings that bring together key public, private, and civil society actors.
