William K. Reilly, former Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Chair of the Nicholas Institute Board of Advisors, and Robert Bonnie, Executive in Residence at the Nicholas Institute, will be featured speakers at the American University's Center for Environmental Policy webinar "Environmental Attitudes and Innovations in Rural America" on Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. EST.

The free webinar will explore new research about the environmental attitudes of Americans living in rural communities on topics such as stewardship, conservation and regulations, as well as practical approaches for bridging divisions between environmentalists in rural and urban communities. The discussion will also address existing and emerging innovations in sustainable farming and ranching practices using technologies and science-based production techniques.

Bonnie is the co-author of the recent report "Understanding Rural Attitudes Toward the Environment and Conservation in America."
