Blue Economy Assessments

The Institute works with partners such as the Center for the Blue Economy to support governments to develop integrated ocean management policies, based on measurement of the ocean economy and ecosystem services, and blue economy concepts and scenarios. The Nicholas Institute and the Center for the Blue Economy worked with the World Bank to conduct an initial assessment of Bangladesh’s ocean economy and are currently working with WWF to carry out a similar assessment for the countries of Kenya and Tanzania.
